Target

FUNCTION: Receptor for glutamate. L-glutamate acts as an excitatory neurotransmitter at many synapses in the central nervous system. The postsynaptic actions of Glu are mediated by a variety of receptors that are named according to their selective agonists.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell junction âº synapse âº postsynaptic cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Expressed in the deep cortical layers, dentate gyrus, reticular thalamic nucleus, mammillary bodies, pons, and cerebellum of the adult. Expressed in both adult and embryonic CNS.

Storage

Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
