Target

FUNCTION: This is one of the several different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins.
Subcellular location: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Tissue specificity: Expressed predominantly in the central nervous system; in the cerebral cortex, hippocampus, habenula, olfactory bulb and granular layer of the cerebellum.

Storage

Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
