A synthetic peptide from aa region 170-220 of the GAT domain of human GGA1 conjugated to blue carrier protein was used as the antigen. The peptide is homologous in many other species including rat, mouse, xenopus, zebrafish.

FUNCTION: Plays a role in protein sorting and trafficking between the trans-Golgi network (TGN) and endosomes. Mediates the ARF-dependent recruitment of clathrin to the TGN and binds ubiquitinated proteins and membrane cargo molecules with a cytosolic acidic cluster-dileucine (AC-LL) motif.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Golgi apparatus, trans-Golgi network membrane; Peripheral membrane protein. Endosome membrane; Peripheral membrane protein.
TISSUE SPECIFICITY: Ubiquitously expressed.
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
