Human melanoma cell lines
Tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 16, P08138, low-affinity nerve growth factor receptor, NGF receptor, Gp80-LNGFR, p75 ICD, low affinity neurotrophin receptor p75NTR, CD271 antigen, NGFR, TNFRSF16
FUNCTION: Low affinity receptor which can bind to NGF, BDNF, NT-3, and NT-4. Can mediate cell survival as well as cell death of neural cells.
SUBUNIT: Homodimer; disulfide-linked. Interacts with p75NTR-associated cell death executor. Interacts with TRAF2, TRAF4, TRAF6, PTPN13 and RANBP9. Interacts through TRAF6 with SQSTM1 which bridges NGFR to NTRK1. Interacts with BEX1 and NGFRAP1/BEX3.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein.
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
12 months after reconstitution
This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.

For research use only
IHC, WB, FC. A concentration of 2-10 µg/ml is recommended. The optimal working concentration should be determined by the end user. This antibody may also be used for immunoabsorptive purification of NGF-receptors. See also the eLab Book at the end of this page.
Specific for p75NTR.
Human, marmoset, dog, cat, pig, rabbit
Reconstitute in 150 µl of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
