Target
FUNCTION: One gap junction consists of a cluster of closely packed pairs of transmembrane channels, the connexons, through which materials of low MW diffuse from one cell to a neighboring cell.
Tissue specificity: Low levels were detected in skin, heart, kidney, testis, ovary, intestine. Expression not detected in brain, sciatic nerve or liver.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cell junction ⺠gap junction.

Storage
Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
