Background	ALDHs play a major role in the detoxification of alcohol-derived acetaldehyde. They are involved in the metabolism of corticosteroids, biogenic amines, neurotransmitters, and lipid peroxidation. This protein preferentially oxidizes aromatic aldehyde substrates. It may play a role in the oxidation of toxic aldehydes. Catalytic activity: An aldehyde + NAD(P)⁺ + H₂O = an acid + NAD(P)H. Subcellular location: Cytoplasm. Tissue specificity: High levels in stomach, esophagus and lung; low level in the liver and kidney.

Reconstitution	Reconstitute in 100 µl of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Storage	Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
