A synthetic peptide to extracellular domain of human Neuroligin-1 (NLGN1) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the antigen. The antigen is homologous in Neuroligin-2.

Function: Neuronal cell surface protein thought to be involved in cell-cell-interactions by forming intercellular junctions through binding to beta-neurexins. Seems to play role in formation or maintenance of synaptic junctions. In vitro, triggers the de novo formation of presynaptic structures. May be involved in specification of excitatory synapses.

Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
