Unit size 100 µl
Immunogen A synthetic peptide from the 1t cytoplasmic loop of human TRPV2 (VRL, VRL1, VRL-1, OTRPC2) conjugated to an immunogenic carrier protein was used as the immunogen.
The location of the epitope is highlighted in green.
Conjugate Unconjugated antibody
Accession TRPV2_HUMAN
Also known as Transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 2, TrpV2, osm-9-like TRP channel 2, OTRPC2, vanilloid receptor-like protein, VRL, VRL1, VRL-1, OTRPC2, MGC12549
Background This gene encodes an ion channel that is activated by high temperatures above 52 degrees Celsius. The protein may be involved in transduction of high-temperature heat responses in sensory ganglia. It is thought that in other tissues the channel may be activated by stimuli other than heat.
FUNCTION: Calcium-permeable, non-selective cation channel with an outward rectification. Seems to be regulated, at least in part, by IGF-I, PDGF and neuropeptide head activator. May transduce physical stimuli in mast cells. Activated by temperatures higher than 52 degrees Celsius; is not activated by vanilloids and acidic pH.
SUBUNIT: Homotetramer. Interacts with a cAMP-dependent protein kinase type II regulatory subunit (PRKAR2A or PRKAR2B) and ACBD3. Interacts with RGA.
SUBCELLULAR LOCATION: Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Cytoplasm. Melanosome. Note: Translocates from the cytoplasm to the plasma membrane upon ligand stimulation. Identified by mass spectrometry in melanosome fractions from stage I to stage IV.
Host NZ white rabbit
Purity Whole serum
Clonality Polyclonal
Isotype Polyclonal, whole serum
Applications IHC, WB. A dilution of 1 : 300 to 1 : 3000 is recommended. The optimal dilution should be determined by the end user.
Specificity Appears to be specific for TRPV3.
Spcs X-react. Human. Other species not yet tested.
Format Lyophilised
Reconstitution Reconstitute in 100 µl of sterile water. Centrifuge to remove any insoluble material.
Storage Maintain the lyophilised/reconstituted antibodies frozen at -20°C for long term storage and refrigerated at 2-8°C for a shorter term. When reconstituting, glycerol (1:1) may be added for an additional stability. Avoid freeze and thaw cycles.
Expiry Date 12 months after reconstitution
Transportation This item will be shipped to you at ambient temperature in a lyophilised form.
